Harlands harassment for Xercise4less

Complaint about Xercise4Less

Initially sign up for membership on a special discounted rate for NHS employees at £1 per month for 12 months in March 2016. Not using the membership, I asked about cancellation, and was told it was a 12 month contract. I cancelled the direct debit in February 2017, to be informed by a Harlands this was incorrect and i needed to complete an online form. The direct debit was resinstated, and i filled out the online form for cancellation. Payment for March was take on 20/03/17. Notcing in April the direct debit was still on my account and due to go out again, I cancelled the DD with the bank. Harlands started sending letters chasing me for increasing amounts of money. I contacted them explaining the form had been completed, and they emailed Xercise4Less for clarification. CRS are now demanding £171, and told me the issue was with Harlands not them they were just debt collectors. I spoke to Harlands who advised the matter was with CRS. Supervisor at Harlands refused to speak to me to help with my issue. Spoke to branch manager in Glasgow, who despite being very helpful explained it wasn't something he could deal with and gave me a number for membership services. Contacted them, and they said all they could offer was a settlement fee of £100. Issue still unresolved. Any help gratefully received. Thanks
