Hi we had booked with the agent as seen on advertising for 10 days in France and arrived to a house of horrors and called them straightaway with photos etc and said we could not stay here with kids and there was a room locked so not enough beds if it was ok to stay there as sold. We where not offerd another place or help to find a place and had lucky able to get a mobile home for the night as it was peak season. We then had to change flights to other airport and car hire and go back to uk after 48 hours as we could find nothing available for us. We waited for the agent to call back and had to keep chasing them all the time and phone agents had agreed was terrible from photos. But once passed to supervisor they said was exceptable and we would not get a refund from owners apart from 50e sorry fee and what ever the owner want to give us back as we got classed as not turning up. We in all lost 4k in all for holiday and the owner still allowed to be sold on the site to others. The agent said they would not refund us for travel etc and just let us and kids rot in France. We had also been sold a house that only once we sent momey to owner they said we had to clean the pool and house even though we had sent a cleaning deposit of 85E to be told this was not allowed from agent and should not of been charged. The owners avoided agent for a week before replying to them. Sent us a email they would clean it. Why was it not done in advance of stay and mis sold in numbers of beds at place we paid for. Can anyone help or advise as at the moment all are saying we are in the wrong even though phone agents agreed place and terms had been mis sold but person above has just hung us out to dry.
