Complaint about Harveys Furniture

We ordered two sofas that arrived stinking of chemicals and mould. The stench was so bad we could not sit in the lounge room. I had bad asthma brought on by the smell and my husband and I both suffered coughing and headaches for the entire time the sofas were in our house. We waited a week for the smell to go, kept all the windows open etc and it did not. So one week later I called Harveys and told them the situation. The sent around an upholstery specialist who was shocked at the smell. He said the sofas stunk of mould from being rapped tightly in plastic and stored in a humid area. He said he would treat the sofas but if that didn’t work they would have to go as they are a health and safety issue. We called Harveys and they said that’s fine the would remove the sofas, order new ones and deliver loan sofas whilst we wait another 7 weeks. Even through if was deemed an emergency. It took over a week to get the sofas removed. On the day we learnt there were not loan sofas. I called and asked to speak to a manamge a number of time, each time being told I would get a call back within 24 hr. Its 2 weeks since the first brush off and still not call backs even thought I have call almost every day. We were told the loans would arrive on Friday and we would also get a call to arrange compensation. I said at this point I want a refund I don’t want to deal with this company anymore. Friday comes, no sofas, no call. I called Friday night, once again asking for a full refund. Was told you you get a call from a manager on Monday and the sofas. Once again no call no sofas. Last night I to organise a refund and was PROMISED I would get a call back within the hour. No call. Today my husband gets a call to say loan sofas will be delivered NEXT WEDNESDAY and we will get £130 refund!!! Still no Manager will speak to us. This has been so stressfull and 10 weeks later we are still no closer to getting furniture. They have made us sick and shown no desire to rectify this or even speak to us. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!
