Complaint about The Range

I was unable to purchase mirror on display at The Range Dorchester as only one there. They couldn't say when delivery would be of another one, so decided to order online as wanted it for our daughter's wedding day morning getting ready with bridesmaids. What a mistake! Mirror arrived in good time but was broken when they opened it on the day. My daughter helped me send photo as requested and we disposed of item as requested which means they assume you have transport. Stupidly I agreed for replacement to be sent as it was our daughter's birthday a week later. I was given slot of three days and unable to track parcel due to issue with TNT computer system. Unfortunately I had to leave the house at some point and of course delivery was made then. I had not been told I could have left note with my signature on. Made several phone calls trying to get idea of delivery time. Was home all day yesterday with light on when noticed note through my door 'Sorry we missed you' from TNT. And am not hard of hearing! After more calls was assured delivery this morning and it did! Delivery man said he couldn't take back parcel if I opened it as I wanted, so stupidly took delivery. I could already hear the noise of broken glass as I opened it. I notice the 'fragile' sign is not visible under all the cellophane wrapping which is then a quite superfluous necessity! After yet another irate phone call to the Range, I am told I have to send yet another photo, which I am unable to do unaided and was not able to speak to anyone to voice my complaint. Have to do it all online. I am disgusted and angry with this service, will never use it again, and will tell everyone about it. And to think I was on the verge of buying another mirror for our other daughter!
