Complaint against Yodel
Had a parcel delivered by Yodel last week. We were out. Rather than deliver to our neighbour Yodel decided to choose a 'safe place.' They chose our garden bush. Not safe from thieves and not safe from the weather. My parcel contained specially printed paper raffle tickets for a charity event I'm organising. If it had rained they would have been completely ruined. I've called Yodel who were unhelpful and defensive. I've tweeted Yodel too and their silence is deafening. They imply that it's the senders fault for not stating the parcel required a signature (which would 'allow' them to deliver to a neighbour) and that they indicated it could be left in a 'safe place'. Clearly Yodels policies need reviewed particularly in their definition of a safe place. I've asked BBC Watchdog to get involved as Yodel has featured on it in the past for very similar reasons. I'll never use Yodel again - but often as a consumer we don't get the choice - the sender chooses. Please help me with my complaint.
