I booked MyHermes (through Parcel2Go.com) to deliver a package. I had an email from them to say that the package had been delivered on the Saturday, and that the 'courier' had handed the package in at reception. A few days later, I had a message off the recipient (a friend of mine) who said that he had not received the package. When I informed him that it was delivered to his works unit on the Saturday, and was handed in at reception, he informed me that (1) his unit is closed on Saturdays, and (2) there is no reception area. I complained about this (through Parcel2Go.com) who said they would investigate. After a few emails to and from them, they stated that the courier said that he/she had delivered the package to the reception area on the Saturday. This was clearly a lie. In the end, as there was no monetary value of the goods inside the package (small Oak tree saplings) myHermes refunded the postage costs. My biggest issue with this is that the 'courier' clearly lied about where he/she left the package, and probably dumped it, as he/she would not get paid if they are unable to hand the package to someone. How many more times has this 'courier' done this, and how many more times in the future will it happen.
