[LAPSED] Royal Mail handling charge

Complaint against Royal Mail

After spending time and money on phone calls to track a parcel that Royal Mail said they could not deliver when I was in and Royal Mail failing to leave me notice of this or instructions for collection, I made a visit to my local sorting office. The parcel was from the U.S.A. so I had to pay £3.04 vat. Royal Mail then charged me a handling fee of £8.00 This is a disgusting practice. Seems I not only have to pay my own v.a.t. but Royal Mail want me to pay towards their v.a.t. bill.
