I went to my local post office and asked to send a letter to Greece the quickest possible way with guaranteed delivery. This was on 5/12/17. I paid £6.25 for the privilege. Their 'track & trace' showed that the letter was 'delivered & signed for' on 18/12/17 (it would have walked there faster !), but the intended recipient never received it. I emailed an enquiry to Royal Mail asking for an explanation about the non delivery on 18/12/17. I received an automated reply that they would 'aim to respond within 2 working days'. So far, on 4/1/18, I have yet to receive a response. It is, of course, unacceptable behaviour by a major organisation. they seem to have a totally arrogant and cavalier attitude towards 'service' in general and 'customer service' in particular and they do not care to change this. A disgrace!!
