Complaint against Royal Mail

My son renewed his railcard on 16th Oct. It was dispatched 1st class on 17th & hasn't arrived yet (25th). He bought FULL PRICE tickets on mon & tues of this week (Cost £57.83 more than if he'd had his railcard) Ive just spoken to Royal Mail who have said the railcard may take up until the 30th Oct to arrive - thats 13 days after it was posted 1st class - Im not happy about this at all - completely unacceptable Royal Mail. Incidentally I have also been told that if it still hasn't arrived by 30th then I need to complete a P58 form to start a complaints/claims process. Even if this was successful Ive been told the maximum compensation is £20 plus postage - very unhappy - this needs sorting Royal Mail

Yes I will do that and hopefully something can be done to compensate for the money that was spent on full-price tickets whilst awaiting the railcard (which still has not arrived)|
