Complaint against UPS

I ordered a parcel on line on 27.08.2015 with a well known high street store. i was charged on the same day and advised the parcel was in processing and would be with me in 3 - 5 working days. This was pleasing as it was an expensive present for my sons birthday which i would provide him on 15.09.2015 when i planned to travel to Dubai to see him. The parcel was with UPS on 01.09.2015 but did not leave their warehouse until 07.09.2015. On 08.09.2015 they telephoned me at 5.00pm to say the driver could not find the address and asked me to return their call. I did several times where there was no answer. On 09.09.2015 I made contact and was told they had a new driver who was 'shit and did not know his way around'. I questioned how in 2015 they could not find an address which is a large street a short stroll from a large town centre. Again i was told the driver was 'shit' - i googled the address and all hits came back with the street in detail so in theory a child could find the address. I arranged for the package to be delivered to my work address the following day (10 miles from home) and was informed that this would have a different driver who would be able to find my address with ease as it was a hospital and could not be missed. i explained the need for this parcel to be delivered as i was going to Dubai early on the 15th of September. Again i was assured this was not a problem and although no time of delivery could be confirmed it would be there by 4.30pm. I waited all day from 7.30am - 6.15pm and no delivery was attempted. When i returned home i checked the tracking and it never left the delivery depot. I rang UPS and they said they would resolve this immediately and someone would ring me back by 8.00pm. i rang at 8.05pm to find they were closed and no one had returned my call. The following morning i telephoned and for the fourth time explained my difficulty. First i was laughed at - yes laughed at. Then i was told that they would ensure delivery on 15th and i explained i would be on route to the airport - i am sure i have said this earlier. Then i was told that someone would ring me back by 11.00am and they could sort something out as i live less than 20 miles from the depot. Yes i know what your thinking - they did not ring me. Therefore i will not get the package and my son will not have his surprise birthday present - this year anyway. Will never buy anything off line again where the courier is UPS. I have the tracking history.
