Complaint against DPD

DPD - interesting concept of courier company on paper or powerpoint, utter turd in reality. The problem is as far as i can tell, human error. As in a failure to hire people who can be described as intelligent human beings. My first experience of DPD was 3 years to deliver a bed. The guy delivers to the door step. There was an elevator about 3 steps forward from the front the door, but he refuses - but ok fine, maybe he's following his own rules. He asks for my signature, i ask the guy to just wait a second whilst i put down the parcel. He walks away, 30 mins later i get a delivered e-mail, with my signature forged. There was a piece missing incidentally, so i wouldn't have signed, which the driver knew about. Today, took a day off work to expect a delivery. DPD sends message at 11:30 to say driver on his way. I'm sitting 5 steps from the front door, with a window view of anyone approaching front door. 11:45 message from DPD (tried to deliver: but you were not in. Left card in letterbox). No driver came, no card was left a complete fabrication and lie from DPD. If you are a business and you want a cheap delivery service whereby you are completely absolved of responsibility and cost from the time the package leaves your hand, then DPD is certainly the courier company for you. If however you expect your customer to receive something you've sent to them, if you want your reputation to survive companies like Amazon and other online retailers, avoid DPD at any cost. It's better to pay a Uber driver to deliver it for you as opposed to DPD. Better yet, get a in a cab yourself and hand deliver it to add a personal touch. Not to mention the number of times i've expected deliveries from DPD at my place of work. They have no accountability, they show a total disregard for any mistakes they make, they are not willing in the slightest to improve their image, in fact i dare say they enjoy having such a reputation. You can't dispute with them, if you can't can't actually reach someone, hence no customer service person to speak to, an automated system that is basically a dead end, except to tell you what you already know. Poor Poor Poor, on every level.
