Complaint against DPD
I placed an order for perishable goods with an online warehouse, the parcel the due to be delivered by DPD, it never arrived, after chasing up the parcel, I was informed that the tracking number I had been given was faulty and they had no clue as to the location of my items. I then received an email from DPD informing me I had to pick up my parcel - I had paid for home delivery, because I am seriously ill and have no choice but to do my shopping by this method. I messaged and explained this. I received a reply telling me again, to pick up my parcel, ignoring my previous message and issues. I then messaged the complaints department, who basically did the same, they completely disregarded the fact I paid to have the item delivered to my home, or that a pick-up request was generated in my name, they have been horrendous. This has continued for two weeks, I still have no parcel, have been told, in not so many words, their contract is with the supplier, not with me, so there is nothing I can do about it. I felt heavily upon home delivery and now the supplier is going to refund my order. DPD point-blank refuse to resolve the issue, their attitude has been disgusting and very disrespectful. The whole situation has caused myself a great deal of stress and inconvenience, only to be told, even though DPD are clearly at fault, this is our final word on the matter, there is nothing we can do. Absolutely unacceptable.
