Complaint against DPD

I recieved a phone call when the DPD driver was outside my apartment building, he had not yet gained access. However upon checking times later, he already ticketed my parcel off as deliveredeven though it was not??? How was this possible if it hadn't actually be delivered yet? He eventually gained access to the building, I was not at home, he rang to tell me he (apparently) left the £150 parcel on top of the post box. For anyone to lift. I was shocked and asked was this a safe option?! I arrived home less than 2 hours later to no parcel. DPD said this was not their responsibility, even though it was in their possession when lost or stolen. However something didn't seem right with the delivery driver. It required a signature, he took it upon himself to sign my parcel himself? How can he get away with this? Then proceeded to phone me from his mobile phone that evening to ask did we have CCTV in the building and accuse one of my flat mates of stealing it as "there are dodgy people about" and how he was involved in an ongoing court case for a disappearing mobile phone he delivered which the customer did not receive. I'd look into this more if I were DPD. Disgraceful. Where is my £150 item?!!!! Worst customer service I've ever had.
