[LAPSED] My £1000 parcel says it has been delivered and it has NOT !!

I received a text saying my delivery would arrive between 13:55 and 14:55 .... at approx 3pm I received a text message saying my parcel had been delivered. At first I thought it might just be an error, so I waited for a while. My parcel did not arrive. I called the company I ordered from and they said they would have to raise an investigation. I asked DPD do they take pictures of the front door and they said no. My issue now is, naturally the stupid driver isn’t going to admit his at fault so now I’m very stuck because unfortunately I don’t have £1000 to throw down the drain. DPD said they would conduct an interview, and to be honest I highly doubt the driver will sit there and say “yes I delivered it to the wrong address” I constantly have problems, this company is so bad when it comes to delivering parcels. The drivers just can’t be bothered to even double check if they are even doing it properly and at this rate they practically must let anybody sign for a delivery. I personally would not recommend this company to anybody.
