Complaint against DPD

I have complained through all the company's channels and copied their CEO in on the replies. Here's my tale of woe: I took a parcel to a drop-off shop this past Monday evening, expecting it to be collected Tuesday and delivered Wednesday. Well, nothing happened, I went back to the shop on Thursday to find my parcel and a few others still there. I took a photo for proof. I made 3 separate calls to 3 different customer service operatives (or, "totally disinterested agency workers who will tell any lie it takes to get you off the phone", as they are better known) who generated lie after lie about how sorry they were, it has been flagged now for Friday collection with guaranteed Saturday delivery before noon to make up for it, plus they'll call me to keep me updated. Is it going to surprise anyone to say no calls were ever made to me and the parcel only got collected (still nowhere near delivered) on Saturday at noon after I contacted an executive level staff member at customer services, having promised to take my parcel back and deliver it myself, billing them for my time and fuel in the process. Once it was collected, I was under the illusion that someone was trying to use - what do you call it? - customer service skill and stump up for a real courier to send it to my recipient today. Of course not, computer says no! No one has the power/savvy to do such a thing so it won't be delivered til Monday. Guaranteed before 10-30am though. Whee! Oh, and my original money will be refunded, at some indeterminate date in the distant future, most probably. The irony is that this depot is closer to my house than the drop-off shop, and still only 50 miles away from its destination. And that was too far for the poor ickle driver to go after a busy morning of careless driving, inconsiderate parking and expending the least effort possible to deliver some of today's parcels. Thanks for taking 7 days for a next-day delivery. DPD: we resent our customers, drivers and affiliated third parties...and it shows! Just avoid like the plague. Please read the one star out of five as negative one star in each case below:
