[LAPSED] Shocking Late Delivery

Complaint against DPD

I ordered from a company on the 19th December, paid to upgrade my delivery so it would be guaranteed to arrive by the 22nd. DPD had my parcel from the 20th December, had a text saying it would be delivered 21st but then no delivery slot so I guessed 22nd. On the 22nd I got a text saying delivery would be later that day by 4:35pm, by 8pm still no delivery and I was then told the driver was "finished his shift" and "optimistically" it would arrive over the weekend. I was then told it would be delivered the 23rd, maybe the 24th but probably the 27th! DPD even confirmed it was meant to be one day delivery and the driver didn't even attempt a delivery on the 22nd! They cannot tell me when my order will arrive, or even if it is out for delivery and cannot guarantee it will arrive before Christmas. Absolutely ridiculous service! Tried to see if I could collect it from the depot but said that option isn't available. I have actually seen a DPD van drive past my front door but my parcel is yet to arrive.
