Complaint against DPD

Terrible awful service! I waited at home longer than my allocated 1hr time slot ready to receive my item, the time slot comes and goes when I receive a text and email to say the delivery was attempted and no one was in. The picture uploaded to the linked DPD website was of the gate at the end of my drive, my flat was not called on the key pad to gain entry and just a picture was taken for ‘proof’. I called the DPD customer service to complain and ask for a redelivery for the same day but I was told this couldn’t happen, a complaint was ‘logged’ but when I asked what procedure happens when a complaint is made I was told that the delivery driver will be interviewed. I then asked what does the customer receive in terms of compensation for waisting their time but they had no answer, Disciplining their staff does nothing for their customers satisfaction. This is unacceptable service and procedure!

Hi Simon, This incident happened a while a go and after a struggle with multiple redeliveries and unhelpful conversations with customer service I did receive my parcel eventually, the trouble is that your drivers have no incentive to actually deliver the parcel on time or even to complete the delivery at all. It is a frustrating and time waisting customer experience
