Complaint against DPD

From now on every time I purchase something online, I will insist that the seller uses anyone other that DPD or I’ll buy from a firm who doesn’t use them. It’s happened so many times. Delivery was said to be between 14:31 & 15:31. So I finished work early (at my expense being self employed) and got home for 14:15. Come 15:31 still no delivery.. I check the delivery details online and it’s supposedly only 15 mins away, which somehow increased to being 1 hour and 30 mins away by 16.31. That was annoying enough. But when I get a text at 18:55 saying it couldn’t be delivered because ‘no one was at home’.. that was the point I decided I’m never using this firm again. Not that it’s the first time this had happened. Doorbell works fine, no card through the letterbox.. just a waste of my time and a loss of earnings. I don’t want to re-arrange delivery because the same thing will just happen again going on past experiences. Either my local depot issues too many drops with unrealistic delivery slots, or they’re just incompetent. I never seem to have any issues with Amazon, Parcelforce etc.. only DPD.
