Complaint against Tastecard

Tastecard today auto-renewed my membership after singing up for a £1 offer at almost £40! I had my subscription would carry on, and was given no noticed that I should cancel. I have tried contacting tastecard by email, who say they will reply in up to 5 days, and calling which keeps you on hold forever. I think this is a clear scam, and the company is aiming to trick customers into a renewal. It has only renewed today I do not want it, yet I am am unable to cancel.
