Complaint against Octopus Energy

I changed my energy suppliers on 5 of September .My previous supplier (octopus energy )billed me over 300 pounds being above my set direct debit and the meter readings they told me were no where the reading I physically checked on my smart meters.I ranged them to find out what was going on and asked them to stop taking money from direct debit till the issue is resolved, they said yes but have taken money out of my account to offset the money they claim I owe them.I have copied in photographs of my reading on 21/09/18 to my new supplier and to octopus energy but have not heard from them.please help me solve this problem .My smart meters have been reset to zero by I do not know who. Thanks I.S LOCHAB
