Economy Energy Can't or Won't Pay Money Owed.

Complaint against Economy Energy

In common with other complainants here, I had been a customer of Economy Energy but found the renewal price of my contract to be totally uncompetitive when it fell due on October 15th. I switched companies giving the required notice period. 3 days AFTER my contract ended Economy Energy helped themselves to £134 from my bank account without authority. I was/am still in credit on both my electricity & gas accounts such that the total owed to me is now in excess of £300. I contacted Customer Service (Joke!) & was told that reimbursement would take 6-8 weeks! Why ? I ask & am told it is Company policy. Having heard nothing I again spoke to Customer Service 2 weeks ago & after much prevarication & my insistence I got to speak to a "Senior Advisor" who told me that my repayment had "Passed all the tests" & was in place to be credited back into my account 4-5 days later - of course that hasn't happened. I again spoke to C.S. yesterday & again demanded to speak to a senior person & was put through to the same man as before who went through a lengthy prevarication but could not tell me when I might see my money. I have to conclude that this company have not GOT the funds to repay monies to their creditors ! If that IS the case should they still be taking on new business ?
