Complaint against Economy Energy
I switched to Economy Energy in November this year. On the 9th November I had to call a gas fitter has I had no gas supply didn't understand why. He tested the supply coming in to the property and said the supply had been disconnected. That is when I contacted Economy Energy and they asked if I was a direct debit or a prepayment customer. I said I had been paying direct debit of which they had already taken to payments one for £50 and one for £54 on the 23rd October 2017. It cost me £50 just to say I had been disconnected. I sent another email to them on the 20th November still no reply and rang them on the 22nd November and all I was told it had been recorded but still did nothing. On Friday the 22nd December 2017 got home from work about 3:45pm and had no electric. I rang 105 which is Western Power which I got off the internet and they arrived about 40 minutes later. They told me they had cut my electric off didn't understand why yet again and it was the same story as my gas are you a direct debit customer or prepayment. If I get no response this time I will be taking to the Ombudsman and I will be taking my custom else where. Surely they shouldn't even be aloud just to cut gas or electric off. The man from Western Power couldn't believe it either.
