Complaint against Economy Energy
Painful. - Failure to return money owed. Failure to offer any resolution. Started on a fixed deal with Economy energy and after a month they tried to up the costs. I questioned the different costs being taken out of my Bank Account and that I wanted to leave. They said that it was an accident. They reduced the amount back to the agreed deal. I stayed. Switched to another supplier at the end of the contract. They informed me to keep the DD open so they could pay back the final statement. A mistake However, they kept taking money out on the DD. I complained and they said that it was an accident. Asked for the money back and they said that it would take 6-8 weeks. Called after 6-8weeks for the refund and logged a complaint. The complaint was shut down by Economy energy with an email saying that it was resolved. When I called to ask how it was resolved, they informed me that it will be paid back into my account. But it has not and they won't take the request seriously. They will not allow a complaint. One customer service staff openly mocked that I will not get my money back for a long while. Possibly another 6-8 weeks. Its one for the Omburdsman to resolve as they are hiding behind them. I would not recommend them. There are plenty of others!
