Beast from the beast! Utilita gas charges soared!

Complaint against Utilita

It’s cold- anyone can see the snow outside means more coin in the pockets of companies like this one. We use a prepayment meter after receiving an extortionaty high bill from Npower one year. Upto now since we’ve been with utilita they have been somewhat affordable with competitive rates. All of a sudden, when the phone lines are closed due to extreme weather our gas must literally be leaking through the pipes! Because our daily spend has shot up ridiculously, exceeding almost five times our normal spend this winter. This is not right and a few on social media have commented how they’ve been charged £10 for the days gas and still topping up to keep the gas going !! I’m disgraced and what’s worse there’s nothing we can do about it but just be incorrectly charged until their phone lines re open and we will all be queuing to sort this problem. Somethings wrong here utilita sort it out!!
