Complaint against British Gas
I have a boiler/central heating breakdown/annual service contract with British Gas for which I pay £13 p.m. In May I was charged £17.24. British Gas claim they sent me an email in March which I did not receive and they were unable to forward me a dated copy?? I was then offered a 20% discount on the "new" price which would still have represented an increase so I declined and cancelled my agreement. I have always thought the "gas board" was one of the honest ones in a world of fraudsters but obviously I was wrong. I now have a slightly better contract for £9.25 p.m. so maybe they did me a favour.
