Electricity bill almost 3 X usual amount

Complaint against British Gas

Experienced difficult trying to contact by phone, lines very busy and advised to call another time. Made an enquiry by e-mail and reply stated response could take 3 days. I think this is unacceptable for an issue which is causing me considerable concern.

I did get a reply from British Gas after about 7 days ( 4days later than promised) but it did not really address the problem. I was given links to sights giving energy saving advice but I am no nearer knowing why my bill was so much more than usual. They did agree not to increase my monthly direct debit but if my next bill is the same my problem remains unsolved.
