I signed up to the co op energy on the basis it was a completely online service so that I could submit meter readings and manage my account. All was well until they introduced a new computer system which refused to recognise my email address even though they managed to keep sending bills to me. I was unable to submit meter readings so also missed out on a dividend paid out by the co op. I managed to get my account reset but the same thing happened again and I when tried to change my tariff via telephone I was informed that it had to be done online which was rather difficult when I was unable to access my account. I have now managed to build up a debt as I have been moved to an uncompetitive tariff and the co op are now trying to increase my direct debit to pay for their error. I have tried to change my tariff again now I am actually able to access my account but the link does not work so I am still unable to change my tariff.
