[LAPSED] Doubled my direct debit unnecessarily

Complaint against Spark Energy

By chance I noticed in my junk e mail which I rarely look at, that spark have doubled my dd and will take that amount on the next payment date, I'm not even in debit with my account, they were hoping I wouldn't notice, they're wouldn't have been enough money in my bank to cover the direct debit because I wouldn't have known of the increase. Bank charges.....

Hi Mark I can confirm that we write or email all customers in advance of proposing a change to their Direct Debit, and allow enough time for customers to contact us to amend the amount if they're unhappy with it. Please add us to your email address book so that future emails don't come through as junk, and if you haven't already, give us a call with your meter readings, Kind regards Jenny
