My mum signed up to Green Star a few months before she died. Since her death I have had a slew of computer-generated letters threatening me with legal action. Finally after months of wrangling and dealing with rude, and sometimes threatening, customer service reps, GS paid me compensation but were still apparently unable to comprehend that the property was empty and that therefore nobody was using any fuel. I set up a DD to pay the standing charges whilst I sorted out the Estate and they charged me £54 per month! I still cannot access the account online despite numerous phone calls and emails. Customer service has been extremely poor. Now that the property is sold I am closing the account. I would not under any circumstances consider using GS as my energy supplier.
