[LAPSED] Confusion and no refund

Complaint against Green Star Energy

Was encouraged to switch energy supplier from a third party. I took the offer as it looked like a great save. (Bills have not been any cheaper compared to previous supplier) I was under the impression my direct debit of 80 pounds was for electric and I have a pre payment meter with gas. I thought it's too expensive and contacted them they said it's for gas and wouldn't accept that I already pay by prepayment card to the gas meter. I receive a separate electric bill from them and they are completely confused and so am I. They can't issue a refund unles I contact them for it. But when I contacted them they said they need to speak with head office and head office will email me details of when to contact them for my refund. But I never received the email. Contacted again they say head office said they haven't received anything to do with it. And here I am again. Having to wait for an email to allow me to get my 250 pound refund they took from my bank as a direct debit but told me I would be notified before they took anything. I am very unhappy and will be changing supplier to my old one as soon as I get my refund.
