Complaint against Green Star Energy

In May 2018 i switched from Green Star to Bulb, i was asked by Green Star not to close my direct debit for 6-8 weeks, in August 2018, 12 weeks later received a letter from them stating "Outstanding Balance £0.00" so i then and only then closed the account,TEN months later i started getting RED final demands from them for over £80, i have tried many times to point out their mistake but they but they will not listen stating "the computer has only just generated my final bill" to this i say "TOUGH" !! they had way more time than is in the agreement and are now prepared to tarnish my name and credit rating by passing this matter over to a "BULLY BOY" debt collection agency. i am sick and tired of these so called fair traders thinking that they can do what they want and get away with it.If there are any legal experts out there it would be good not just for me but others receiving this kind of treatment.
