Complaint against Scottish Power
Scottish power has put my monthly direct debit up yet again!! It went up to £137 a month last year then this month it’s gone up to £200. I live in a small semi with 4 radiators upstairs and a gas fire downstairs. Everything else is electricity ( cooker, lights,washing machine and fridge which energy efficient) my bulbs are all low energy too. We had a brand new Worcester boiler fitted a couple of years ago which was top of the range. Our bills are ridiculous but they “remotely checked” our gas meter and said it was fine but wouldn’t come out. I explained we can’t keep on like this as we only use the heatings maximum of 4 hours a day and we work opposite shifts so it’s not feasible to be using this amount of power. I can’t get any sense from them they believe they are right and that’s that. They are an arrogant company who as soon as I get straight I will be leaving.
