Metre stealing money and Scottish Power won't do anything to help us

Complaint against Scottish Power

Moved into property on 29th Nov 2015. Contacted Scottish power to open online account to pay via direct debit monthly for electricity supply. Sent welcome pack quoting we would be charged £861.66 a month - equating to around £16.57 a month. It's now feb 2016, metre is still pre pay metre - takes money for debt from previous tenants every time I top up. Every week electricity costing us no less than £45, sometimes over £50 weekly. Far cry from our initial welcome pack and tariff. Call and call each day and have waiting times on phone for over 45minutes before you can speak to somebody. When you do get through, you are passed from department to department confirming your name, address and date of birth a minimum of 5 times before you get anywhere. Once you do speak to somebody you can't understand the accent and the line is awful. Do NOT use this company - they lie and steal your money and send you round and round in circles! I've got a two year old little girl at home with me now, no electricity at all coming through the home (we do not have gas in our property at all) and Scottish power couldn't give a damn!!!!! BEWARE and DO NOT USE SCOTTISH POWER
