More than three months to get a refund!
Complaint against Scottish Power
Early in October I informed Scottish power we would be moving. We moved home on 16 October and I gave SP a reading of the meters for gas and electricity that day, putting the information in the mail as their website would not accept the details. Clearly they received this information as on 14 November they issued an account showing an "in credit" balance of £300.61p. I have telephoned three times since mid-December to ask when my refund will be made, but there is always a reason why it will take "seven to ten days! I have run out of patience with this approach - they are holding my money for no good reason. I want it back NOW!
