Refusing to refund me after swapping supplier because I didn't use any gas for 3 months

Complaint against Scottish Power

I have swapped supplier to SSE my Scottish power account after final billing is £198 in credit. ScottishPower are refusing to refund me this money as I was not billed for gas for 3 months without a good explanation. I have explained to ScottishPower that I had turned my boiler off for summer as I have an electric shower and a dishwasher and do not need to use hot water for washing up or washing and also have a faulty 3 port valve on my heating system so when the boiler is on for hot water it will also turn on the central heating which I do not want in summer. Apparently this is not a good enough reason for not using any gas so they are refusing to refund me.
