My daughter wished to cancel her membership. She phoned the gym and was advised that this had to be done on the website. She logged onto her account and deleted her account. She assumed that the membership was now cancelled however payments continued through her bank account. Following this, she cancelled her standing order. She received a text message in December advising that her account was in default and that she should make a payment of £44.98 or the account would be passed to a third party debt agency. As a result of this threat, she made the payment in full. We wish to dispute this payment as Katie made every attempt to cancel her account following the procedure as advised by the staff however it appears she was misinformed
