Complaint against Xercise4Less

I signed up online for a free session at xercise4less gym in wigan and was contacted last week and booked in for this with the manager Danny Shepherd. On arrival at the gym myself and my partner had to wait 25 minutes to see someone. We were sat down and instead of being shown round the gym were just thrown prices at us for membership on a piece of card and asked what we wanted to sign up for so straight away we felt under pressure to sign. We did not meet with the manager as we we're told we would be. We were never given any terms and conditions or told if we wernt happy we could cancel witha cooling off period. I signed up for the direct debit to come out of £14.99 a month with a £19.99 admin fee. My partner asked if his money could come out on Friday as he only got paid then. We were not asked to fill in any health questionnaire or shown how to use any of the equipment in the gym. On Friday we were sent an offer to join xercise4less for £11.99 with no admin fee so as we hadn't even been back for our 1st session and it was only a couple of days after signing up in the gym my partner rang up to say we wanted this offer but he was told he could do it as his money had not yet come out but I couldn't have the offer as I'd already signed up in the gym and was told only at that point that there was no cooling off period when you sign up in the gym. Only a cooling off period when you sign up online to which my partner told them this was a joke and we wernt happy with this as wernt told anything about this when signing up. He then spoke to the manager who said it was down to head office to make a decision on wether a refund could be made and I would receive an email to confirm wether or not this would happen. This was on Friday 20th October. He was fobbed off by Kane the guy who signed us up and then by the manager Danny. It's now Tuesday and still not heard anything back from this disgrace of a company. I want a full refund as I do not want to be part of this gym for the way they have treated me and the lack of information I received when signing up. They could have quite easily said yes we can sign you and your partner up on this offer but instead of that he has now not joined and I no longer want to join for the disgusting way I have been treated and still not had a response from the gym. I hope you can help me with my complaint. Thanks in advance Jessica Ramsdale
