Xercise4less cancellation issue
Complaint against Xercise4Less
Hello. I quit my pay monthly membership with x4l after speaking with their employee. He said that I only have to write an e-mail to x4l with information that I want to quit and cancel my direct debit. After few months I recieved letter from company called Credit Resolution Services. They wanted me to pay over 100 pounds for not paying for my membership. They didn't believe in my version (that staff member adviced to cancel DD) and said that x4l staff wouldn't advice anyone to cancel membership this way. Their last message to me: Further to your email of 7th October 2016 this matter is very simple. You have breached the terms of your contract by stopping your payments before completing the correct cancellation procedure outlined in the terms of the agreement you entered into. You have presented no evidence in support of your claim that you were advised to cancel your Direct Debit without giving 30 days' notice and our client vehemently denies any of their staff would ever tell you this. We, however, have evidence (in the form of an email sent from our own servers) that on 5th March 2015 you were advised in writing that 30 days' written notice was required in order to cancel your membership during the rolling renewal period. We shall suspend further action for a period of 30 days whilst you seek legal advice.
