Complaint against truGym

I moved away from Kent nearly 3 years ago where I had been a member of the new Trugym in Chatham. On moving again I have reviewed my direct debits and noticed I was still paying for a monthly gym instalment for a gym that was 2 hours away and cancelled it. Harlands emailed to say I must pay last months fee, next months fee and a £25 admin fee. They said I could only pay this by reinstating the direct debit and filling in a cancellation form which was not on the website as stated. I refused and they emailed back with further demands for money and wanting to know my new address. They would not answer a customer services line and only sent me an enquiries line where I was informed that they don't deal with cancellations. My original email says 2 weeks notice, or if I move I can cancel. I'm well outside any 12 month contract and certainly not local. I have never had email reminders to renew a contract and I just don't know how Harlands get away with it! Please help! I'm prepared to pay more to take them to court!!!
