Complaint against EHIC Direct

I wanted to renew my EHIC cards for my wife and I and I only realised after completing the form online and submitting a £34 fee (which was stated to be required after January 2016) that this was not actually an official government site and that I could get the cards for free from the official site. I sent an email the following morning asking to cancel my requestwithin 24hrs of the transaction and certainly well within the terms of Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. I received a response to the effect that I could not receive a refund as the applications for myself and my wife had already been processed on my behalf. I believe that this is in breach of the above regulations and I am unhappy that I have not received a refund.

Unresolved, charging people for what is in reality a free service available online elsewhere! I will try another route to get my money back.
