Complaint against DW Sports Fitness
I’m looking to make a complaint in regard to my gym membership. I joined the club last February and they made it clear to me that it was not a contract and I could cancel at any time. However, this isn’t the case. Due to health reasons I have been unable to attend the gym for roughly the last 6-7 months, I have spoken to them several times and they wouldn’t cancel my membership. I have continuously paid for something I haven’t been able to use and I have finally been able to cancel my contract after 12 months. I called DW around two weeks ago and they advise I was all paid to date and my membership will be cancelled from February 2020 and I am ok to cancel my direct debit. I received a text message today advising that my payment had bounced, when I called them they advised I still have to pay for February which of course I had never been advised therefore I cancelled my direct debit. Every individual I have spoken to have advised completely different things to me. I am not willing to pay the direct debit as this was not made clear to me. They have told me they have emailed me each time but I have not received anything, I’ve even checked in my junk mail. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss this matter further as I am NOT happy about paying this payment.
