It is clear that a majority of the important 8,600 Muslim voters in this West Yorkshire constituency are planning to say farewell to Labour for the first time and switch to George Galloway who has always spoken up for the Palestinians, a seemingly attractive voice following the latest bust-up with Israel. A pretty good point. The Scots felt the same way about Labour. And look what Scotland looks like politically today. The Muslim politicians make one point I do not accept. They suggest Starmer is more interested in his anti-semitic policy than going after the Islamphobia either among the Tories or his own party. The reality is that the hatred of Jews by followers of Islam (either in the UK or in the Middle East) is impossible to deny and Starmer had to come down hard and do it publicly.

If they do that will be a nightmare no matter who runs Labour.
