Twitter defended its decision to allow Taliban-related accounts to stay active saying the people of Afghanistan are using the platform to seek help and refuge. American politicians have sought an explanation from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Rep. Madison Crawthorn, a North Carolina Republican, said; “Who’s side is the AMERICA-based Big Tech companies on?” A very good point. America lost thousands of troops to the Taliban you would have thought at the very minimum this US firm would not want anymore of their lies and hatred spewed out through their platform.
