£59.80 taken from my account without my approval

Complaint against Credit Step

After looking through my online banking statement I found that this company had taken £59.80 from my account - I looked them up online- sent three emails and filled in their online form but received no reply. After all this I decided to call their contact number and spoke to a guy who claimed that they had replied to my emails- whilst I was on the phone I checked my email account and told him that I had not received any correspondence from them of any sort. He said that he could see that I had indeed not logged onto their service- I replied that obviously I hadn't as I had no login details as I had not signed up for this and never would have. He went on to say that although he could not refund the full amount because the 14 day "grace period" had passed but he would refund £30 as a "goodwill gesture." I find this completely unacceptable as they have infact now stolen half of the fee and have kept £29.80 of my money!! Anybody reading this- I urge you to avoid this company at all costs- I do not understand where they have got my details which in itself is extremely worrying. I have since checked my online banking and have yet to receive my £30. Shocking company- please be very vary of any contact with this company!
