Julie's complaint against Capita
[RESOLVED] - Language barrier causing distress and further traumatisation
Complaint against Capita
This was a review for my pip. Was called into the room by a lady of foreign origin, who told us her name but could not understand her name, she showed a identity card and could not even read or pronounce the name on the card either. Was told that the interview would take 45 minuets. We started interview and it was clear that we were having difficulties communicating, this was causing me significant distress and frustration as I suffer with anxiety, depression and I am diagnosed with borderline personality that was caused by severe childhood trauma and further traumas in my adult life, I also have a skin condition that causes blistering to my feet. I could not get her to understand properly how this affects me. I was having to slightly raise my voice as I was getting very frustrated. She also asked why I did not bring this up at the beginning when she read out my diagnosis, I was to distracted by the language barrier that I did not say at the time, but I told her that the form that I filled in clearly stated that I have E.B simplex. I left the meeting feeling angry, frustrated, distressed. This as upset my mental state of mind. May I also add that I went through all this before when I first claimed pip so they know my situation, so why a 45 minuet assessment where there asking for the same information already given, many questions are very irrelevant, intrusive and also were repeated to try and catch you out.
