Complaint against Xtra Warm
Our boiler packed up on a Tuesday evening, phoned in then, and spoke to a lady who in a previous job must have been a GP's receptionist. Not very helpful and told me an engineer would be, under the terms of our contract, with us the following Monday. When I checked the contract it stated that an engineer would call in two days. The engineer duly came on the Monday and fixed the fault in 20 minutes. The fault turned out to be a bleed valve not tightened enough by a previous engineer allowing a minute drip of water to build up and blow the control box. For a service that costs us £240.00 a year it doesn't inspire confidence. I think my pension money will be spent elsewhere in future.
