Complaint against Admiral Group
Having conducted a price comparison for my car insurance, Admiral came back with the cheapest quote. However when I contacted them to take the policy they stated the quote had expired. However this was only 9 days after the initial quote and despite the comparison website stating the quote was still valid. I have been an Admiral customer for years amdhabe never previously had this problem (although their renewal quotes on their letters are always a few hundred dearer than you get as a new customer so I always check!) my understanding, as also stated on the comparison website, is that the quote is valid until the date you input for your policy to start (you can't enter a date too far in advance). I also believe that they have decided the quote is no longer valid because they can now try to get more money from me following the interest rate rise for insurance companies. I would like my original quote honoured as I believe it is still valid. I will happily change insurance companies if somethibg cannot be done and will also highlight the poor customer service to various consumer groups.
