Complaint against Bank of Scotland
The bank of Scotland have allowed a fraudster to open an account online in my name with a £1500.00 overdraft. All the fraudster knew was my name and address. They used a incorrect Dob, incorrect employee/salary details, incorrect length at my current address and incorrect contact details. But their poor system didn't pick any of that up and processed the account with a £1500 overdraft approved immediately. Within a day the overdraft was moved to another account. I completely understand fraud happens, but using so many incorrect details? Surely the most vital thing is Dob? Mine was Years off. And why no photo ID requested when I've never banked with them before. Surely anyone could do this?
