Overpriced auto renewal

Complaint against Prudential

I have been a regular customer of Prudential for at least twenty years and have been guilty of trusting them with my house insurance auto renewal. Every year it has increased but being busy in business, home affairs tend to take a back seat. This years renewal came in at a staggering £700, and as I am now retired came as a bit of a shock! Enquiries with neighbours confirmed that I was being grossly overcharged. Looking back over my renewals for the last few years I see that as far back as 2010 I was paying £570. I have now been on the Prudential's online quote system and have obtained a quote for the same property and similar cover for £228. To say I am incensed would be an understatement. What really hurts me is that I have been a loyal customer of them for many years, I have family savings bonds and also a personal pension with hundreds of thousands of pounds in and this is the way they treat me. I would also say that I have the maximum no claims bonus both on contents and buildings cover. How obscene is this? Needless to say I will now be reviewing my investments with Prudential
