Complaint against Tesco Bank
We have held a pet insurance policy with the bank for some time. On renewal of the policy Tesco's have upped the premium by over £30, however to buy the same premium online it is still being advertised at the lower price. When approached they said we have to cancel the policy and take out a new policy. How many customers are not realising they can do this? Tesco's is conning thousands of unsuspecting people out of money and failing to advise them they can buy the insurance for the cheaper price online. When you approach them they admit that they are told not to tell customers about the cheaper rates offered online but that many customers cancel and then just take out identical polices. The whole procedure is a con to make extra money. They can provide no viable reasoning as to why they charge two different prices for the same policy.
